Transfer Center
Drew Maudlin
Undergraduate and graduate accounting major
"What I enjoy most about UNT is that the faculty/staff here are more available and willing to help without looking bothered by my presence. The best part about being a transfer student here is that all the credit hours I attempted to transfer over to my core/major requirements or as electives did so successfully. This is the best transfer friendly campus that he has ever visited."
Drew transferred from University of Texas-Arlington.
The Transfer Center is organized to help transfer students transition to college life at UNT. Research shows that students succeed in college by becoming active participants in campus life, taking responsibility for their learning, and by utilizing campus resources. The Transfer Center is designed to provide students with assistance in connecting to campus resources to better ensure a successful transition to campus.
Transfer students are very important to UNT. Each fall, transfer students account for over half our new student population. We welcome over 3,500 new transfer students on our campus each fall and our goal is to be a resource to all of them.
The Transfer Center offers programs such as Transfer Orientation, Tau Sigma (a transfer student honorary society), a Transfer Ambassadors program (transfer student mentoring program), and Transfer Talkbacks. In addition to these, throughout the semester, the Transfer Center hosts several individual events that address the needs of our transfer population, like social networking events. In addition, this site is designed to provide helpful links to many other resources, services and programs available to you.
